What makes a quote matchable
We'd rather be straight with you about this up front than take your details and go quiet. Three things make a quote something we can beat:
- A written quote, dated and current
- A printed or emailed estimate from the supplier, recent enough to still be live. A photo of the paperwork is perfect — we just need to see the line items and the date.
- The same product, and the same quantity
- Like for like: the same species, wear layer, core, thickness and finish, in the quantity you actually need. If the other quote is a different product, we'll tell you what the real difference is instead of pretending it isn't there.
- From a Bay Area supplier
- A supplier serving the same market we do, so the comparison includes the same freight and delivery reality. National clearance liquidation and shipped-from-overseas pricing isn't a like-for-like comparison.
A word on comparing quotes
Two estimates for “the same” floor often aren't. Wear layer, core, finish warranty and whether underlayment, delivery and waste are included can move the real number a long way. When we read your quote we'll point out what's actually in it — even where the other supplier has priced it well.
